BIOGRAFIA.

Jeff Beck (Geofrey Arnold Beck, nascido em 24 de junho de 1944) é um guitarrista britânico que tocou em várias bandas influentes dos anos 60.
Assim como muitos músicos de sua época, Beck começou a trabalhar como guitarrista de estúdio. Em 1965 ele entrou para o Yardbirds (depois que Eric Clapton deixou o grupo). Dezoito meses depois ele também sairia, principalmente por problemas de saúde. Beck passou os anos seguintes tentando obter algum sucesso com sua The Jeff Beck Band, embora os álbuns vendessem bem suas músicas não eram muito comerciais, só conseguiu reconhecimento com o grande público ao gravar em 1975 o álbum Blow by Blow em carreira solo.
Uma característica marcante de seu trabalho é o fato de ele não trabalhar sempre com o mesmo estilo musical,optando por uma fusão de estilos que vão desde o jazz ao rock n’ roll com um toque pessoal.
Jeff Beck foi cogitado a participar da banda Pink Floyd, mas não foi chamado.Pois os integrantes da banda acharam que era muita pretensão convidá-lo.
Recentemente uma rádio fez uma pesquisa mundial com uma série de críticos e Jeff Beck foi considerado o 4º maior e mais influente guitarrista do rock. Na revista Rolling Stone ele está em 14º entre os 100 maiores guitarristas de todos os tempos.
Ele continua esporadicamente a gravar e lançar seus discos.Em seus últimos três discos ele fez um trabalho com música eletrônica. Uma curiosidade a respeito de Jeff Beck é sua paixão pelos Hot Rods, carros antigos totalmente envenenados.O próprio Beck é um habilidoso mecânico e restaurador, chegando a ser elogiado por grandes nomes desse meio, pelos seus trabalhos com os carros.
Diferente dos guitarristas normais, Jeff toca na maioria das vezes sem o uso da palheta.
